Meet Gabriela!

Hi, I’m Gabriela Carter! I’m a wife, a mom to two sweet girls, Bianca and Luciana, and a follower of Christ. I have a deep passion for birth and supporting women through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives.

My own birth experiences have shaped who I am as a doula. My births with Bianca and Luciana were very different, and each taught me different things about birth, motherhood, and the importance of having the right preparation and support. My first birth inspired me to become the kind of support person I wished every mother could have.

My second birth, with Luciana, was a life changing and redemptive experience. It reminded me how powerful it can be to approach birth with knowledge, confidence, preparation, and a supportive team. This has given me an even greater heart for helping moms who hope for a different experience after a previous birth.

I love helping moms build confidence, gain knowledge, and develop practical skills so they can approach birth feeling prepared and empowered. A “redemption birth” can look different for every woman. And that’s one of my favorite parts of being a doula! I love learning what makes each individual mother feel safe and supported, and helping create a game plan that allows everyone to feel prepared for the big day.

I also love supporting first-time moms as they step into motherhood. Watching a woman grow in confidence throughout pregnancy and witnessing her become a mother is such a joy! There is nothing like it.

As a doula, I provide calm reassurance, encouragement, prayer, comfort measures, and guidance throughout labor and beyond. I help ease the mental load for you and your support person/people while helping you feel confident and supported.

My faith is an important part of who I am, so I’m honored to incorporate prayer and Christ-centered encouragement for families who desire that support.

Outside of birth work, I’ve played the violin for nearly 20 years and I play in a string group with my Mother and sisters, who are also musicians! Music has a way of bringing people together, lifting people’s moods, and has an emotional depth that nothing else replicates quite the same. These are qualities I try to carry with me as a person, especially when it comes to birth support.

At my core, I’m a caretaker who loves listening, encouraging, and helping people feel seen and heard. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby, hoping for a different experience after a difficult birth, or just wanting someone in your corner, I would be honored to support you.
